Charles Town City Council Meeting

The Charles Town City Council will hold their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, 10/15, at 7 pm. Rally at 6:30. Please arrive early if you would like to sign up to speak. Agenda will be posted here when available. We’ve made headway with the CT City Council, but we need to contact them to instruct their JCDA rep to vote “no” on the third reading of the water bond in October and to stop the approval and/or funding of any infrastructure requirements for the facility. Jefferson County Development Authority Meeting

There will be NO vote in the water bond at this meeting (?), however, there will be a discussion of the water bond litigation AND a presentation by Rockwool. We need a HUGE showing at this meeting. Mountaineer Gas Pipeline Hearing

A Public Service Commission hearing on the proposed Mountaineer Pipeline will be held on Wednesday, October 24 at 6:30pm at Shepherd University Storer Ballroom (3rd floor of the Student Center), 201 N.King St., Shepherdstown, WV WE WANT TO FILL THE 350 SEATS in the Ballroom! Please show up and let the PSC know that Jefferson County does NOT want or need this pipeline! We will gather at the Wall at the corner of King and German Streets in Shepherdstown at 5pm. Then we will march to the Midway, the lawn next to the Shepherd University Student Center (210 N. King Street). The rally will begin around 5:20pm. We will have some signs, but please bring one if you have one. Speakers at the rally will be Patricia Kesecker, Brent Walls, Mary Mattlage, Madison Hale and Shaun Amos and myself. The Public Service Commission hearing will begin at 6:30pm in the Storer Ballroom on the 3rd floor of the Student Center. The Ballroom is ADA accessible. Not sure why the regularly scheduled meeting was changed from the 20th to the 7th, but we WILL be there! JCDA meeting Wednesday, 11/7 1 pm We need a HUGE showing at this meeting.
